You cook a lovely meal for our service users and bring the food to the serve, we serve between 80 and 130 portions a night so it’s large batch cooking, we offer a small amount of financial compensation to help offset the electricity costs
Every sunday we go to the local supermarket and hand out flyers so that the generous people of the community will buy us much needed supplies for the forthcoming week. As a donations day volunteer it will be your job to hand out flyers, collect stock, take this stock back to our storage unit at the end of the day. Feed Fenland tries to be present for the whole day but the day can be split into multiple shifts if we have enough volunteers available.
Essentially an usher at a wedding, you welcome people into a serve, split large groups and communicate with the servers if any issues arrise
We offer a parcel service where we deliver cupboard staples and other essentials to those in need, we need volunteers for 2 jobs related to parcels, packing and making the parcels bags and putting them in our storage unit and another to take the parcels from the storage unit and delivering directly to service users
You show up to our location at the olive academy, help hand out food and drink to our service users and help clean up/pack away at the end of the serve
